The Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership is in the forefront of restoring Stapleton’s vibrant commercial district, leading the transformation of our neighborhood into a powerful adjunct destination for tourists who will visit the nearby NY Wheel, Empire Outlets, and the new Stapleton Waterfront Development. The effort is supported through the Retail Recruitment Program, offered by the NYC Department of Small Business Services. This program helps commercial corridors across the five boroughs fill vacancies and create a more vibrant retail mix to keep consumers shopping local. The program provides one-on-one technical assistance and the tools necessary to improve and manage a district’s business mix.
To officially kick-off our program, the Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership is inviting Staten Island’s real estate community to join us on a walking tour to view Stapleton’s inventory of properties to see our commercial offerings. Let us share with you why we think Stapleton 10304 is New York City’s next great neighborhood!
The Historic Tappen Park’s Stapleton Broker’s Brunch will be held on Tuesday, June 3nd at Tapas Restaurant and Bar – 661 Bay Street from 11:30am – 2:30pm. Brokers that attend the session will receive a packet of market research data showing the categories of retail that are most sustainable in Stapleton, together with a list of 200 retail prospects (with their contact information) that HTPCP would like to recruit into the district. These same prospects are now receiving marketing materials in the mail from HTPCP to promote the district. Following the program, there will be a tour of several vacant, available commercial properties in the downtown.
There is no charge for the event, but participants are requested to register by Friday, May 30, 2014 by contacting Kamillah Hanks at 917-757-8851, or by email: email@example.com.
